In recent years, the CMA has seen substantial membership growth, and Catherine’s work was critical in forming a greater alliance between brands and agencies. She said: “It has been a delight to work with the association and to see both the membership and our industry grow. I am happy to hand the reins over to Rob John, who all our members will know. Since joining, Rob has been instrumental in driving the growth and diversity of CMA membership, whilst improving operational efforts and introducing new forms of media, which will help the CMA to grow.”

The CMA now has over 100 members, both in the UK and abroad. The annual Content Marketing Awards saw entries from over 25 countries. In 2019, more than 1,500 people attended the CMA’s Content Breakfast and Future Content events.

Rob will be working with the board and wider CMA team to continue to deliver value for members, as well as growing the membership across the UK. He said there are plans in place for a number of regional events, while a range of initiatives from research to graduate schemes are also being developed. Rob said: “The team and I are incredibly excited, and with a new Marketing Manager joining at the end of March, we’ll be continuing to represent best-practice in content marketing, and to offer business, cultural and educational opportunities to all of our members. ”

His goal is to continue to drive the association, offer leadership and intelligence, and help the industry to grow.”

Catherine joined the CMA in 2017 after working at REED recruitment, where she was Global Marketing Director. Medeiros added: “I would like to personally thank Catherine for the work she has done in growing the CMA. She was absolutely vital in developing and shaping our offering to an increasingly diverse membership. We all wish her the very best in her new role.”
