Zoë Francis-Cox, CEO of Dialogue, is appointed Chair of the CMA

Dan Davey, Founder of Progressive Content and Zoë Francis-Cox, CEO of Dialogue

Zoë Francis-Cox has been named the new Chair of the Content Marketing Association. After being a long-standing member of the CMA, and last year joining the CMA’s management team, Zoë replaces founder of Progressive Content, Dan Davey.

Dan, who has been chairman for the past two years, has been a real credit to the CMA, helping navigate the tricky post-Covid times, as well as the successful launch of the B2B Summit. Dan was instrumental at every phase, from the planning right through to the events themselves. With his strategic vision, coupled with a passion for content marketing, these events have received incredible feedback and have gone on to become staples in our community calendar.

Dan said: “It has been a privilege to Chair the CMA and work closely with Rob and the management team over the last two years. The CMA continues to play a key role in the industry, informing, inspiring and connecting content marketing professionals. I’m delighted to hand the Chair over to Zoë, who brings with her a wealth of experience, drive and knowledge, that will undoubtedly benefit the CMA and its membership over the coming years.”

Zoë has been CEO of Dialogue for three years. A Norwich-based content agency that has a stellar portfolio and creates content to engage a wide range of global audiences, which has resulted in impressive results and being awarded Best Medium Agency at the International Content Marketing Awards for the past two years in a row (2022 and 2023).

Zoë said: “Dan has helped the CMA achieve some great things and I’m excited to support Rob and the management team in continuing the vital work in shaping and supporting our industry.

“Content continues to be king when it comes to engaging audiences at deeper levels – more so than ever before – and new technologies are making the landscape even more exciting for our industry. The CMA continues to keep new and emerging trends at its fore, helping educate our industry and enhance its authority in the sector. I’m very excited to be part of its journey.”

Sticky’s Managing Director and member of the CMA management team, Darren Burroughs, said: “I first met Zoe when Dialogue was still part of Archant, and I was brought in to set up a creative agency within the group. Right away, I was blown away by her extensive knowledge and expertise in running her agency. But what really impressed me most was her passion for the business and the whole content marketing industry. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious, inspiring both her team and their clients and I'm excited to see her bring that same drive and experience to the CMA hotseat.”

Managing Director of the CMA, Rob John, added: “I’ve enjoyed working with Zoë over the past few years and she possesses a unique blend of creativity, leadership, and operational excellence that is sure to spread positivity and growth throughout our membership. Working with Zoë has already proven productive, as we recently teamed up to create and launch the CMA Champions programme which is already proving popular with our members. I look forward to continuing on from the great work carried out with Dan as we look to shape the content marketing industry over the coming months.”
