Awards deadline extension

September 10th, 2018

Last week was one of the busiest weeks in the CMA offices in a very long time – thanks to the Content Marketing Association (CMA) awards. We had initially planned the deadline for entries to be Friday 7th, and not surprisingly in the last week literally, hundreds of entries have rolled in.

In the end, we have had so many requests for extra time that it made sense to extend the deadline of the awards for one more week. So, even if you haven’t started your entry yet there is still time to create that award winning proposal.

However Friday 14th has to be the final deadline as the award as the judging procedure kicks in very soon.

What happens next?

Once the deadline has passed the team the go through all the entries verifying and checking them.

Then the entries are sent to the panel of judges for initial valuation. The judges for the first round are mainly drawn from CMA member agencies. They are looking for creativity, editorial excellence and of course evidence of results.

The panel then agree a shortlist for each category, which is usually between 5-10 entries, and announce who made this cut on Monday 8th October.

The final session, which features judges from brands, takes place on the 1st November at a central London venue. Powered by coffee and cakes, this is where the panels, who typically judge two awards each, choose the top three and the winner.

There’s one last bit of judging as all the winners are then considered for our ultra prestigious Grand Prix prize.

The winners are announced at the awards on Tuesday 27th November at an event at The Roundhouse, Camden, London. If you have not yet bought your tickets you can buy them here. The ticket price includes entertainment, a delicious three course meal and unlimited wine and beer. The awards will be presented by comedian Rob Beckett. It will be an amazing night.

Any questions?

Finally, just to say if you have any questions, contact us as soon as you can.

We also need to underline that the Friday 14th deadline is final, and entries will not be received after that date.

Good luck!
