Rob’s Write-Up (20th July)

It’s the start of the six weeks holiday in the UK, and due to Covid-19 most children have been home for the last three months. So this will be a summer holiday unlike any other – especially when it comes to travel and holidays. We know that content marketing is used heavily within the travel industry, so I wanted to hear from those in our industry who specialise in the travel sector.

Due to the success of our CMA webinars, we decided the best way to do this would be a virtual event around the travel sector. We’ll be running this on 6th August, 12:00-14:00 and have some incredible speakers lined up. This event was going to be offered exclusively to CMA members due to running costs. But thanks to our amazing sponsors, VERB Interactive, we’ve been able to bring this event free of charge to all. If you’re working within the travel sector, or curious to see what other sectors are doing through these times of change then you can register for free here.

International Content Marketing Awards

It feels such a long time since we announced our 2020 awards would be our first-ever virtual award ceremony. As we draw closer to the entry deadline, it’s been great to see entries started from across the world. Last week the team and I began our search for judges and to say it went well would be a massive understatement. It’s been amazing to see people from all over the world get in touch to find out more. A mix of agency, client, and freelancer – I’m looking forward to sharing details on our judging panel leading up to our deadline on September 18th.

If you’re interested in joining the process and helping to judge the very best of content marketing work from across the globe, then feel free to drop me a message here.

One last note for our International Content Marketing Awards. Last week we launched our five for four entry offer, so if you’re thinking of entering the awards this year – you can secure your entry offer here.

CMA Learning

Woman reading and learning

Kirsty joined us last week to deliver a webinar on ‘how to find your voice’ and her webinars are always such fun, if you’ve not seen them before then I recommend you check them out. If you struggle with imposter syndrome or find you lack confidence in certain areas of your job, and find the voice in your head tells you not to go for things – then Kirsty’s webinar is a great place to start. Lynsey (SocialB) ran a webinar on what changes you can make to improve the success of your newsletter. Lynsey gave some great examples of how you can improve open and read rates by monitoring the content you use, and when you use it. If you’ve noticed a rise in visitors to your website and an increasing number of signups to your newsletter, check out this webinar on how you can ensure strong engagement moving forward You can watch the full replay here

We’ve been working hard on securing more great webinars for August/September, so be sure to check our the full list here. Please get in touch if you’d like to suggest a topic or have feedback on any of our webinars.
