About the role

As Video Editor for Dialect working with our US-based client, you will be responsible for the daily production of video content, using mainly Adobe Premiere but also with some AfterEffects, Audition and Photoshop required. There will be a wide-range of videos with differing styles, durations, and requirements, and so being able to adapt quickly and efficiently to each video will be essential. As a video editor you will be working as part of a team at Dialect Inc. which includes two animators, a producer and one other video editor who will be able to provide support and knowledge throughout.

One year fixed term contract


Minimum 4 days per week or possibility of full time for the right candidate.

Job Overview

You will be editing short-form video content that will often consist of a mixture of motion-graphics animation, on-camera interview footage, stock footage and voiceover. The ability to adapt to tight turnaround deadlines is essential as new video requests delivered by the client can occur quickly. As editor, it will be your job to take any and all assets sent by the client and work quickly to produce a finished video supported by your producer. This role can be primarily work-from-home, though presence at least one day per week in our wonderful central Bath office will be strongly encouraged.

Job Special Skills and Attributes:

Essential Skills:

  • Great knowledge of Adobe Premiere
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly in a reactive environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop 
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Audition
  • Experience of colour grading
