In a live, virtual ceremony we announced the award winners for the 2020 International Content Marketing Awards which included nominees from across the globe.
Each year we see content campaigns that push the boundaries of innovation, but this year we’ve been truly blown away by the quality of work submitted. In what has been a tough year for industries across the world, it’s impressive to see those that have not only survived during the pandemic but achieved huge success with such inspired and resourceful strategies.
“We saw reactive content campaigns, as well as long-term strategies delivered that displayed a significant impact and results. All our winners should feel incredibly proud, especially when looking at the strength of this year’s shortlist.” says Rob John, the CMA’s Membership Director.
Our esteemed panel of judges, experts in many different fields on content marketing, discussed each and every entry at length, creating a shortlist and eventually selecting our winners. It is fair to say that the winners fought off immensely tough competition to be titled the best in content marketing!
The International Content Marketing Awards was open to all, whether a member of the CMA or not. The benefits of winning an award are clear, from new business opportunities to building team morale. But even to those that didn’t win on the night spoke about the process and how it helps the team to look back on their work.
The 2020 award programme saw over 150 incredible industry experts judge two rounds from across the world. The CMA also provides anonymous feedback to all entrants upon request. This is vital to an association that aims to improve the industry and is something entrants praise the CMA for each year.
The CMA is a not-for-profit trade association which aims to grow the content industry both in the UK and across the world and does this by running events and training, as well as the annual award ceremony. The CMA now has over 400 members which are made up of agencies large and small, in-house brands, and freelance creators.
Each year the International Content Marketing Awards usually takes place at iconic London venues, including Old Billingsgate, The Roundhouse, and The Troxy. However, due to the current pandemic, the 2020 ceremony was hosted virtually on Thursday, 3rd December, with winners having their trophy delivered between now and Christmas.
We hope that you were able to enjoy our virtual ceremony with colleagues and friends remotely, to toast the success of our industry. We’re already looking forward to what can be achieved next year!
You can watch the ceremony back on replay – it’s only about 30 minutes long!
