2020 Awards Judges

The international Content Marketing Awards are recognition of the best work our industry has to offer. So it’s only right that we have the biggest names of content marketing to join us to judge your entries.

Rupert Bedell
Vice President of Marketing for Europe, American Express

 Rupert has had marketing leadership roles at some of the world’s largest banks, including Barclays, HSBC and Royal Bank of Scotland, before joining American Express in 2018. As  VP of Marketing for Europe, he leads all B2B marketing for a region consisting of 14 different markets, with teams primarily based in the UK, France, Italy and Germany.

Clare delivers business growth and performance in the Entertainment, Retail & Media sectors. Clare has held international marketing roles at Cannes Lions, ITV, Anchor Bay and Universal Pictures and is currently the Head of Strategic Marketing, Europe at Samsung Ads who are at the forefront of redefining advertising in the Advanced TV landscape.

Martin MacConnol
Executive Chairman,Wardour

Martin loves everything to do with content marketing. Wardour are a content marketing agency working with clients as diverse as EY, Heineken and the British Heart Foundation. He has served as a member of the steering committee of the CMA, was chair of the Association of Publishing Agencies and a board member of the PPA. He sits on the Alumni Advisory Board of Cambridge University.

Amanda Phillips
Head of Global Brand Operations, Jaguar Land Rover 

Amanda has spent her career in marketing and advertising, including managing creative agencies to CEO level and most recently at British Airways as Global Head of Marketing Communications, and now at Jaguar Land Rover leading Global Brand Operations. She is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing.

 Gideon Spanier
UK Editor-in-chief of Campaign
Gideon was named best writer, business at the British Society of Magazine Editors Talent Awards 2020. He was previously media editor of the London Evening Standard and has also worked at The Times and The Independent.
He is a former chairman of the Broadcasting Press Guild and began his career as a TV producer at CNN.
