The Indestructibles goes Global

April 5th, 2016

Factory Media reports a string of pre-MIPTV deals for its flagship branded-content project The Indestructibles.

The action-sports series has been sold to BBC Worldwide’s factual entertainment channel, BBC Brit for its feeds in Africa, The Nordic territories and Poland, BBC Entertainment for Latin America and to Discovery DMAX in Italy, TVNZ in New Zealand and Network Ten in Australia.

The Indestructibles, which was originally commissioned by UKTV and on air on Dave in the UK, sees action-sports athletes-turned-presenters Tim Warwood and Adam Gendle dropped into a location somewhere in the UK, tasked with dreaming up and executing an epic stunt — in three days and on just £1,000. The UK version was funded by fashion-watch brand G-SHOCK, with the series breaking new ground in terms of connecting TV and digital audiences, while delivering maximum added value to brands and broadcasters.

Sam Thompson, Factory Media’s head of sales, says:

“We’ve always felt that the Indestructibles is an irresistible proposition for broadcasters so we are thrilled with the market response as this was Factory Media’s first major outing as a long-form producer.”

With our new in-house distribution arm delivering global sales for Factory’s brand-funded TV content, our end-to-end brand-funded production model is off to a great start.”
