Rebekah Billingsley Joins John Brown as New Head of Digital and Content Strategy
John Brown is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebekah Billingsley as Head of Digital and Content Strategy. Rebekah will be managing the content marketing agency’s digital strategy and output, as well as the research and planning side, across all platforms.
Rebekah started as a Graduate Management Trainee in television but moved into digital in 1999. Since then, she’s worked for large consumer publishing houses News International, Emap, Hachette Filipacchi and BBC Worldwide. She ran her own digital consultancy prior to moving to John Brown and specialises in helping traditional print-focused businesses become more digital-centric.
Rebekah has some large projects under her belt including the launches of Times Online, heatworld, Closer Online and Red Magazine’s websites from scratch. She also managed the evolution of the Elle UK, Digital Spy, Sugarscape, Current TV and Radio Times websites into profit making businesses. She then launched all of the BBC Magazine titles as digital magazines. She’s been busy.
In her new role, Rebekah is tasked with insuring John Brown delivers digital products that meet client objectives as efficiently and effectively as possible, identifying innovative new branded content solutions, implementing a digital strategy at the heart of the business, and providing intelligence to support what the agency does.
Rebekah said: “I will be bringing passion and enthusiasm for content and content consumers, an understanding of how digital can grow our business, and experience of having previously worked with other companies to help them realise their digital potential.
“The very definition of content in the digital world is changing so quickly: there’s a new universe of digital-only brands who need what we do, technology is making ROI and CRM more meaningful and consumers are demanding sense in the midst of a lot of noise. These stars all align to create opportunities for an established, skilled and trusted company such as John Brown. I am looking forward to growing our digital footprint as a business, especially via a new digital client base.”
