BrandContent bolsters offering and welcomes new Voice Interface Designer
BrandContent, a content marketing agency for the technology and financial services industries, has launched a ‘voice’ division drawing on its content marketing expertise and applying it to emerging technologies.
The new division will focus on taking content marketing a step further and will help brands capitalise on the ‘voice-commerce’ opportunity which is expected to be worth £3.5bn by 2022.*
The voice division will help brands take advantage of voice assistants by optimising for voice search and through the development of Alexa Skills and Google Tasks and ensuring they integrate seamlessly with the entire customer journey.
As part of this expansion, BrandContent has hired former product designer at the GoCompare Group, Michael Gearon, who takes the role of UX Designer. His data-driven background, experience in AI and optimising cross-channel customer conversion have led to significant revenue uplifts for brands.
Michael joins a strong team who have strong expertise in price comparison having worked in-house at almost all of the UK’s leading price comparison sites including Confused.com, TravelSuperMarket, MoneySuperMarket and GoCompare.
Commenting on his new role, Michael Gearon said: “We’re at the forefront of this next generation, voice revolution which will transform everything marketers know about customer behaviour and search. It’s the most exciting time to join BrandContent and help brands deliver content and reach their customers through emerging technologies such as Google Home and Alexa.”
Sharon Flaherty, Managing Director of BrandContent, added: “The development of voice technology, digital assistants and artificial intelligence will change how we search for information, shop and interact with brands. Voice is and will continue to move fast and marketers and R&D teams need to think voice-first now, not later, or risk being left behind by their competitors who will gain first-mover advantage.”
BrandContent works with leading companies such as FTSE 100-listed Admiral, AIM-Listed FairFX, Ageas, NFU Mutual, the Welsh Government, NEST and a number of FinTech and technology clients in the UK, Europe and the USA.
