ArtisTree partners with Cedar Hong Kong to launch new Facebook Live and Instagram campaigns

August 10th, 2017

Cedar is proud to announce the launch of two social media streams for Cedar Hong Kong’s new client ArtisTree, a 7,000-sq. ft. performing arts space in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong owned by Swire Properties.

The social campaign sees the debut of ArtisTree’s inaugural Facebook Live panel discussion as well as the launch of the ArtisTree Instagram account, all designed to showcase this new and diverse venue at the forefront of the city’s arts scene.

A Facebook live panel discussion, held at the Upper House Hotel and hosted by Cedar’s senior editor Mark Tjhung, drew together renowned artists and thought-leaders. Duncan Pescod (WKCDA), Indy Lee (member of HKADC), Mike Hill (founder of Clockenflap) and Nadim Abbas (artist) traded new ideas about creativity and space in Hong Kong.

The audience could interact with the conversation by submitting questions via Facebook, eliciting over 1.6k views in less than a week. The event was made possible by a four-person videographer team, make-up artist and community moderators, and is the first of three Facebook Live ArtisTree events to be held throughout 2017.

As part of the campaign, Cedar also managed and produced campaign content including print, ATL advertising and digital content. Running in tandem with the opening season campaign, the always-on content highlighted the colourful diversity of the performance programmes through behind-the-scenes, live action and rehearsal video footage.

‘Producing a Facebook Live event with such high-profile Hong Kong figures has been an immensely challenging and rewarding experience. It’s been fantastic to create content that both serves the Swire’s positioning and contributes to the Hong Kong cultural conversation. We’ve learnt so much through this and we’re really looking forward to doing more,’ said Mark Tjhung. ‘And by the way, rumours that I’m leaving Cedar for a career in television are completely unfounded.’

Babby Fung, Head of Office Marketing at Swire said, ‘Working with Cedar is like having new family members who bond. They are a very passionate and dedicated team who put their clients foremost. Creative and agile, innovative and intelligent, they foster a good partnership that secures peace of mind.’
