Role purpose & dimensions

TCO, makers of Huck and Little White Lies magazines, is hiring a Social Media Manager to work on Huck Branded Content campaigns and wider channel output. The role focuses on executing paid and organic social strategy and delivering against KPIs. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating and activating a wide array of social content, driving both audience engagement and growth. Knowledge of Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Twitter, WordPress and social management tools are a must. A solid understanding of how to produce paid posts, target social advertising and how to use FB Business Manager is essential. Proven experience on big-budget campaigns a bonus.


● Execute paid social media plans set by editors and social strategist
● Paid partnerships campaign management and optimisation
● Audience growth in line with targets and KPIs
● Provide reports and feedback on performance + engagement and shift strategies accordingly
● Daily management of Huck social channels
● Build and nurture relationships with content partners, aggregators and new social platforms
● Manage and produce digital marketing assets (videos, GIFs, pictures, copy)

Skills & experience

● Experience producing content for social media
● Ability to craft strong social sells
● Demonstrate strong understanding of a range of social media platforms
● A knowledge of how to target posts and use FB Business Manager and YouTube advertising
● Experience running brand campaigns and delivering on targets
● Basic skills in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere) desirable
● Willingness to experiment with emerging platforms and ability to identify new trends
● Experience working as part of a digital news team desirable

Salary: Contingent on experience
