Progressive Content is a full service content marketing agency that specialises in B2B content. We produce a range of print and digital publications as well as manage blogs and websites on behalf of our clients. These clients come from a wide range of industries, including banking, professional services, membership organisations and technology.

The role

We are looking for an ambitious and talented Commercial Manager/Associate Publisher to work across our award-winning Food Service Consultants International (FCSI) portfolio. You will be responsible for developing and managing commercial sales across three territories (EMEA, North America & Asia Pacific) and a portfolio that includes magazines, themed supplements, email, web and events.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will have an energetic personality, be self-driven and have the ability to identify new commercial opportunities. The role involves international travel, but is based in London.

Key duties

  • Selling advertising solutions across an award winning multi-channel portfolio in the commercial foodservice sector
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end sales process
  • Engage with prospect organisations to position FCSI as a credible and valuable commercial partner
  • Research and identify market potential to create a qualified target-account list
  • Develop the pipeline via email campaigns, face-to-face meetings and telephone calls to new and existing contacts
  • Create and maintain a sales pipeline to ensure revenue over-achievement
  • Generate short-term results whilst maintaining a long-term focus on overall revenue targets
  • Create precise monthly forecasts
  • Work closely with editorial and creative team to deliver best in class products

Skills required

  • Solid sales experience and knowledge in the foodservice sector or in foodservice, catering or manufacturing event sales (Essential)
  • Experience of building a strong sales pipeline amongst new and existing clients (Essential)
  • Ability to sell beyond simple advertising placements, including sponsored content, bespoke digital solutions, round tables and event sponsorship (Essential)
  • Experience of managing the end-to-end sales process in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (Essential)
  • Strong international sales experience (Ideal)
  • Languages – German, Italian and/or Spanish (Ideal)
