THE ROLE

CPL are looking to take on a new business development manager to join the already succesful team. You will focus on B2B sales in a specific market sector. New business will be at the forefront of your mind, you’ll be able to demonstrate achieving more complex deals and you’ll have experience of dealing with a wide range of decision makers.

PURPOSE OF ROLE 

  • Be a valuable member of CPL’s business development team
  • Deliver profitable new business
  • Contribute to CPL’s reputation for exceptional customer service by providing a high-quality, responsive and agile service to internal and external clients
  • Help CPL achieve its overall business purpose: “To help clients achieve their strategic priorities by creatinge excellent content that inspires audiences and gets results”

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED 

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong sales, or account management background ideally in a relevant industry and sales, or agency environment
  • Excellent communicator – ability to communicate across all levels
  • Organised – able to to organise and manage yourself to deliver the expected high standards
  • Proven sales/business development experience with a track record of account acquisition, retention and development
  • Experience of managing contractual negotiations and end to end new business tender processes
  • Results orientated – driven to succees and achieve and exceed personal objectives
  • Team player – confident in delivering within, and contributing to, a positive team environment
  • Self-motivated – a postive mental attitude, able to work alone or as part of a team environment
  • Commercially aware – able to negotiate, with delegated limits, and receive the best result for the company
  • Strong network of professional connections is desirable
  • Attention to detail and consistency
  • Clear and fluent communication in English, both spoken and written

Full time, part time would be considered
