The Jackal

by FDR London Client: The Jackal

A modern media brand for stylish minds

The Jackal is an upmarket men’s lifestyle brand that brings the best of free distribution and luxury publishing together. It’s active across five channels: print (ABC circulation figure: 99,568), web, social, email (40,000 monthly digital reach – and counting) and events. The Jackal was conceived to bring high-quality content to smart-dressing, smart-living, smart-thinking men on the move, and to serve as a vehicle for luxury brands challenged with communicating with an affluent but time-poor audience. In print, we target AB male commuters through Tube and Overland stations, airports, corporate racks, hotels, private members’ clubs and other quality establishments in central London, and through select outlets in Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The Jackal was launched in spring 2017 and is already the UK’s second-largest upmarket men’s lifestyle print title, working with a portfolio of luxury brands, including Rolex, Cartier, Omega, Bentley, Bollinger and Hugo Boss.

What The Jackal says about FDR London

The Jackal is a living, breathing example of FDR London’s ability to create, sustain and grow a brand from the ground up. It demonstrates how comfortable we are working in print and online, creating video, developing a brand through social, and building a loyal audience. It also shows how we work with brands, either editorially or through partnerships. The Jackal’s content is beautiful, informative, engaging and produced by FDR London’s in-house creative talent in tandem with a portfolio of world-class writers, photographers and illustrators.

The Jackal is FDR London’s hero product, a luxury media brand for stylish minds and forward-thinking brands. In February 2018, it was announced that The Jackal had been admitted onto the Walpole Brands of Tomorrow programme, a highly competitive scheme that supports emerging luxury brands with mentoring, coaching, legal support and networking opportunities. In March 2018, The Jackal was shortlisted for the British Media Awards in the Launch of the Year category.
