Oris is a luxury independent Swiss watch company. Founded in 1904, it prides itself on making beautifully designed and crafted watches for men and women who place a premium on quality and value.
Oris called on FDR London to create an editorialised catalogue to communicate its heritage, partnerships and details of its new products. Alongside this, we were also tasked with creating video assets to introduce two new brand ambassadors, the Hemsley sisters and tape artists Klebebande.
Oris is more than 100 years old, but an evolving company with a forward-thinking customer base who demand quality and value. The challenge was to communicate the brand’s heritage, independence, values and vision in a package that felt crafted and considered, and to bring that together with the functional aspects of a catalogue.
At FDR London, we back ourselves to tell stories through original photography, clever typography, clean, contemporary design and our ability to adapt a brand’s tone of voice to the medium. We applied this approach to the Oris brochure, and to the supporting video assets.
The brochure has been translated into nine languages and is distributed all over the world. Oris does not share details of its digital reach publicly, but the stills and films we created were posted on the company’s social channels, which have a combined global following of more than 2.3 million.
