Hyundai Ix35 Let’s Tussle

The Brief

To build on the success of the first Hyundai films created by Red Bee (over 400,000 YouTube views), Hyundai required new online content to showcase their most compelling new product points and showcase them in the most entertaining way possible. Hyundai wanted to ensure that they remained one of the top brands considered for anyone buying a new car.

The Challenge

Red Bee wanted to create another two comedies about the car buying process. To achieve this we wrote and produced the content like a sitcom, not an ad, engaging the audience with the story and establishing the characters. We again aimed to offer the Hyundai audience something different from the regular brochure-style new product promotions. Two films were developed from the point of view of a customer buying a car. The films star BAFTA-nominated actor Neil Stuke, from legal drama ‘Silk’, who is featured with the new ix35, and Kimberley Nixon from Channel 4’s ‘Fresh Meat’, who acts as a potential buyer for Hyundai’s award-winning new generation i10. Both films are now live on the Hyundai UK YouTube channel.
